It is a popular place for those seeking a change for the better in their lives.
  • Continue to Tin Hau Temple (10-minute journey), a historic and deeply revered temple popular with local worshippers. • Tsz Shan Monastery is home to a 76-metre-tall white statue of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy—the second-largest of its kind in the world. Visitors come to pay their respects, seek blessings, and meditate. In addition to the Guanyin statue and other Buddhist statues, the monastery features a museum displaying Buddhist antiquities. Surrounded by nature and fresh air, this peaceful sanctuary limits the number of visitors admitted each day.

  • Continue to Hung Hom Kwun Yum Temple, one of Hong Kong's well-known historic temples. According to local accounts, the surrounding area suffered heavy bombardment during World War II, yet those sheltering inside the temple remained unharmed. Residents regarded this as a miracle attributed to the compassion of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy. Devotees visit to pray for prosperity, good fortune, career advancement, new opportunities, success, fresh beginnings, and good health.
  • Travel to Che Kung Temple (20-minute journey), a revered historic temple in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. Worshippers come to pray for good fortune, prosperity, health, and protection from evil. A highlight is the "Wheel of Fortune," which devotees believe can turn their luck around and bring a positive change to their lives.
  • Visit Wong Tai Sin Temple (15-minute journey), also known among Thai visitors as the "Red Thread Temple." This historic temple is dedicated to Wong Tai Sin, who, according to legend, gained supernatural powers through spiritual cultivation and used them to heal the sick and help those in need. Worshippers pray to him for healing, good health, a harmonious family life, and relief from misfortune. Visitors also seek blessings from Yue Lao, the God of Marriage, to find their soulmate or enjoy a fulfilling relationship. Red threads are available to tie around the wrist as a symbol of good luck in love.
